The Vietnam International
Education Development (VIED) has been established at the Ministry
of Education and Training (MOET) based on the Decision Number 32/2008/ND-CP
dated 19th March 2008 signed by the Prime Minister of Vietnam
concerning the defining function, responsibility, authority and organization
of the MOET.
As a Department of
the MOET, VIED assist the Minister by implementing state management
and public services in international education. The mission of VIED
will be displayed in coming days.

In the decision agreeing to the selection of candidates by the Ministry of Education and Training for post-graduate training at overseas institutions under the state budget in 2006, it is clearly stated in which the country each scholarship candidate may register for study or research.

On May 28, 2009 Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) promulgated
Decision No 3794/QD-BGDDT on selecting 161 Undergraduate Students for
training overseas under the Governmental Scholarship 2009 (Scholarship
of Project 322).

In the frame work of project "Training
of state officials overseas by state budget" (Project 322), the
Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam will select and send the
students for a full time study abroad, it also allows the joint training
programs.

According to
Decision No 335/QD_BGDĐT dated 21/01/2008 by Minister of Education
and Training, the University of Danang (UD) is mandated to design and
develop pre-departure training programs in English language and research
methodology for university and college lecturers before they are sent
abroad for further study.
