According to Decision No 335/QD_BGDĐT dated 21/01/2008 by Minister of Education and Training, the University of Danang (UD) is mandated to design and develop pre-departure training programs in English language and research methodology for university and college lecturers before they are sent abroad for further study.

In Vietnam, Hanoi University is one of the three institutions assigned by the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) to conduct pre-departure training programs for postgraduate students going to study overseas.
