These representatives of Missouri met with  students applying to study at MU. The students are interested in scholarships and support from MU. The MU representatives discussed with the National University of Education (Dai hoc Su pham Hanoi) the possibility of setting up a joint Masters program in Geography. On this occasion Provost Brian Foster handed to Dr. Truong Duy Phuc, Deputy Director of Vietnam International Education Development, the Memorandum of Understanding between the Curators of the University of Missouri for the University of Missouri to be a Partner University with the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam and its Program on Vietnam International Education Development. According to this agreement, MU will assist VIED scholars in finding appropriate departments and faculty mentors for earning Ph.D. and Masters degrees at MU, as well as at other universities in the United States.
